Send mail when task Assigned or finished ?

Hello,
Is there a way to send an email to the person who where assigned a task in a project ? or to send an email to the project manager when the task is finished ?

Hello,
I thank you for your answer. I already had a look in server actions but the problem is after having created a server action, you need to modify the workflow and there things getting more difficult !

i think you don't need to modify the workflow, just add a server action in the done state of the task but I've not tested this function.

I did that and I created workflow for project and task object.
