I am very new to OpenERP and am trying to find my way around customizing the interface.

What is the significance of the view ID. The reason for my question is as follows.

I have created two databases, one with demo data and without. When I open the View Editor to add a field to the "create new Partner Supplier" view, the view_id is 92 for both databases but the view never loads up when I use the database without sample data.

I know I am choosing the correct view because preview works and shows everything correctly but the edit window just has the work "Loading..." in the top left hand corner and it never loads up.
