Write a value on a purchase order line

Greetings

I created the field "transport cost" in the purchase_order_line table and i´m trying to save a value in the database but can´t make it work.

I tried to assign the value in "inv_line_create" and "action_invoice_create" function on the file purchase.py by doing "ol.transport_cost=1" being "ol" the order line.

What i'm i doing wrong?
