I am trying to understand sale_mrp.
First I create a sales order for product A
Product A does not have enough stock.

Then I run the scheduler.
Scheduler creates a MO for product A however the MO does not relate to SO created earlier.

I just checked the module myself after Your post.
The difference in the production order window is that in the "additional information" tab, there are 2 new fields: Sales Name and Sales Reference. The Sales name is the document ID of the sales order. The Sales Reference is the "Customer Reference" from the sales order window, so you can enter whatever you want there.

I don't know, maybe there's more to it. But if there isn't, then that module would be pretty much useless to me, since there is the "source document" field for document references.
