POS help

I need to make a payment from my POS , the software asked for a cash register account and i don't know how to manage this.

Can any one help me how can i, make a payment from POS.

The First you must be confige in Finaciale Moudle after You can register Cashier in POS module

Can someone give more details about POS for OERP and configuration, please? I can't find any documentation anywhere.

I am stuck when I want to Make a Payment. New window is opened asking to add the payment. Also, at the same window, I'm getting message that Cash Register should be opened and when I try to choose one, the field is empty. But the Cash Register IS open.

I have no idea what to do... :roll:

To fix that, logon as admin, and go in : Accounting / Configuration / Financial Accounting / Journals / Journals
then go in the 'Point of Sale' tab of the journals (=registers) you need to use and add your user (or all required users) in the Users field.

Usually, when no user is specified it means 'All users', but not in that case... hope it helps

Jumping in to the thread,

Could someone point me on the right direction?

I have no idea how to view the POS client in OpenERP 6.0.3 like the one they are showing in this screen shot http://www.openerp.com/products/pos (slide #7). The POS setup is not included in the Online Book. Whenever I google it, it just show results on the POS features and its capabilities. There are no documents on how to to configure it in 6.0.3.

I'd tried using the 6.1rc1 which instantly shows the POS client when I click Point of Sale but it has a bug when I upload picture for product. (the same "..can't escape non string object" error that also appears when I load a picture of an employee on the HR module)

Sorry for my ignorance, I'm new to this POS stuff. I would like to try this on my friend's restaurant.
