Hi
I see most topics around BI are about installation problems. I've followed all the proposed solutions and ended up with a broken OPENERP installation.
I work on Ubuntu but I also tried to do this in Windows with no success.
Is there any proven and working procedure to install the BI in both or any of the platforms above?

Many thanks!

PS I Know it's not the best practice to break a subject into different threads but all of the others seem abandoned and none of them worked!

same here,

After following the procedure for installing bi and sqlalchemy I am unable to create a new database :-(

"Warning
Could not create database."

I have been evaluating OpenERP with several profiles and extra modules to be implemented in my company's (Parent + child company) but so far it looks like it is voor IT professionals only. Only with professional support I was able to get it installed and working. Going through the documentation i must say they are in my opinion poor to say the least. for example, multi company information is besides the postings in the forum almost non existent.

Time after time i run into error's, bug's and installation issue's and am forced to dig into the forum posts for solving the problem. Directing to Launchpad, bazar, trunk etc is in my opinion not the answer. I therefore hope V5.2 will address these issues.

For now I have to sadly conclude that OpenERP is a no go.......
