Access Controls in OpenERP

Hello

I want to restrict access to some remote clients to get access to OpenERP server. I want that every time client wants to get access to server , the server is notified and can deny or accept that client request

Please tell us a little more about your goal. Are you using the native client, or do your users log into the web interface?
Do you mean IP-based access restrictions?

Note that in the 5.2 API there is support for such a thing, we could implement IP-based controls (eg. allow admin only from the company intranet, allow portal users only from the internet). In the 5.0 code, such a thing is quite hard to do.

Please, do change the title of this topic to "Access controls" or something like that. It will help for future references/searches to have subjects that correspond to the request.

I'm using GTK Client
I wish that each time a Pc connects to the server , a message is sent to the server asking to allow or deny access . If access is denied client cannot connect to server, else if server allows acces the client successfully connect to the server
In this way there will be a control over which PCs are getting access.
Please help

That would be IP-based, right?

That would be IP based
I wish to do this using GTK Client
