Hi
I am trying to implement OpenERP for a company with vehicles on the road that carry stock. What I was hoping for is the ability to look at a product and see the stock location listed under "Procurement and Locations" without having to choose "Stock by Location" from the right hand menu.
The other thing I don't seem to find is how to choose which location to take stock from when I sell a product.
What am I missing.

As they say, the penny has just dropped - I have found the answer to my own question.
I have created multiple warehouses and associated a different shop name to each warehouse. Now when I do a sales order, I choose the shop and the stock levels for that warehouse/shop is shown and reduced by the sale amount.
It would still be nice to have a tab which showed the various stock levels per location but I guess that is a module extension I could look to write and share.
Hope this helps someone understand OpenERP better.
Regards
O

Thanks for this, was looking for something similar.
Do you have any pointers on how to automate stock moves to those warehouses (from a main warehouse) based orders.
