I've just installed 6.0.2 on Ubuntu 11.04 with both GTK client and Web client. I would prefer the later, as I'm quite used to web-based applications. So I'm basically talking about web client, though actually not the so-called "Openerp-web" itself but just the Openerp in my Firefox.
I just fiddled with buttons and links, to get a better idea of the whole thing. I did not add any new records into the sample database. I got a problem here.
Very often, when I tried to delete some records, like order, sale..., I was warned of this or that. I just followed the hint, though it did not hint much, at least for me. I got even more confused of the "criteria" of a record to be deleted.
1. An "approved" order can not be deleted. So I had to cancel it. Is this right? I have to delete all "pickings" of a order. what does this mean? Anyway, I just cancel one planned shipment. Is this right? 2. When I try to delete an "request for quotation". "A document was modified since you last viewed it (Purchase Order:1)" What does this mean? I'm totally stuck here. It is the same situation for all 3 "RFQ"s in sample database.
However, just now, just out of curiosity, I tried in GTK client. Any record can be deleted with one click of button!! What's the difference? I'd expected that "Openerp-web" and Gtk client do exactly the same thing for me.
(BTW, if there is any document regarding this out there, please let me know.)
