difference between consumable and stockable products ?

Hi, Can someone please explain the difference between a consumable and stockable product? Both of them require stock to sell and go through the same procurement workflow. stockable products have reorder points for managing its stock levels

actually consumables don't need stock, it is assumed they are always available.

Thanks. So basically if i want to sell a consumable I have to set its procurement method as "Make to stock" otherwise there will be a PO or a MO created on every sale.

Yes they should be, but honestly I didn't think it mattered. Hmmm hopefully you are right might solve an issue we have.
