Dear,

I got an import problem in Chinese.

I am in Hong Kong. I am using windows XP Eng. After I edited zh_CN.csv by notepad and saved it as utf-8. Then, imported it as a new language, it only show English finally. If I export it again, all Chinese characters are disappeared.

Would it be the problem of file format in windows different from Linux?

This problem make us cannot add or change any Chinese translation.

Any solutions or alternatives?

Best regards,
Kenny

In Windows XP, maybe you need convert zh_CN.csv from unix format to dos format, download ultraedit and do it, also you can search unix2dos then you can find some tool.

Hope it help, if still not work, you may upload your csv file to the forum for somebody test.

Happy chinese new year!

Hello,

Kenny_Ka and any other South China / HK-based developers, please contact me at:

info *at* different-products *dot* com

I am interested in seeing who is close to HK/Shenzen so that we can perhaps form a users group to pool our experience and knowledge.

Thank you,

Mister Li

I am looking at TinyERP as we need an accounting package that speaks Chinese and English.

I have been looking at the zh_CN.csv translation file and I have noticed that many of the entries do not have a Chinese translation. (I can ignore the Belgian chart of accounts). Is this deliberate or is the translation process not complete? Also, I get the impression that these entries will therefore appear in English; can anyone confirm this?
