I created a product with BOM. When I create a MO or SO for that product, there is no automatic procurement quotations generated for the materials needed. What might be causing the problem?
This wasn't a problem in v6.0.

The product I set for procurement method is Made to Order. And all my stock levels are zero since it is a fresh installation and also didn't purchase any materials.

Am I doing or set something wrong, or is this a bug?

you are doing something wrong.

check procurement exceptions and check products aren't of type consumable.

also your raw materials for BOM generally work best as make to stock with minimum stock rules of 0 and 0.

Hi gdaddy,

Thank you for the reply.

However, I have checked that is no Exceptions in the "Purchases Management". Also, all my products are stockable products. When I tried creating another MO, there were no exception messages nor Procurement orders message, but only "Manufacturing order 'MO/00010' is scheduled for the 01/11/2012" above the MO form.

It didn't happened to me when I used openerp 6.0.2, as it worked okay with PO and MO messages shown after confirmed production.

I did another test with a fresh database. and same result happened, no automatic procurement.

HOWEVER, I found out that, only when I "force reservation", this then created the automatic procurement. I

This is different from 6.0.2 (where is automatic procure when confirm production) and also not logical, as this allows me to produce the goods when there is no raw materials to produce the product.

Also, it doesn't display any procurement message after clicking "force Reservation" except - Manufacturing order 'MO/00012' is ready to produce.

So Maybe it might be a bug.

I have the same problems:

test dev-version from 13.02.2012:

in 6.0.3 automatically a manufacturing order is done, but not in 6.1

LOOK AT THE DEMO DATA:

if you sell a "Basic PC" with bom, then in the demo data there is a manufacturing order created; if you repeat this, it is not done

also strange: the module "sale_mrp" only appears after "Update Module" - i think this module handles the creation of the manufacturing order.

from memory sale_mrp does nothing more than load the sale and mrp modules - it has no code.

there are no bugs I know of preventing this, it is most likely configuration. Have been testing this extensively over the past couple of days on 6.1 and it works fine.
