I just set up a Chinese forum for Tiny ERP. The main purpose of the forum is to gather people who love Tiny ERP and would like to collaborate to do the Chinese localization. Together with you guys, I also like to promote Tiny ERP on Chinese SMB market.

The localization work is just started. Desperately need your help and advice.
Pls. visit http://www.shine-it.net and drop a note
The wiki site is on: www.shine-it.net/wiki
The collaboration translation is on: http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key= ... AWiYDfn9Tg
(You need apply in the forum to allow me to invite you to the the collaboration site)

Thank you and best regards,

Tony Gu

There are people who have done a lot of work before you. Just look at tinyforge e.g. Knerz is doing some work and maybe even maintain it.

Of course any work to complete the translation is very welcome! Do you speak/write Chinese?

Yumi, Thank you very much for your clarification. Probably my word is not so accurate. But, I really didn't ignore knerz's and your work for the Chinese localization. Pls. be noticed that the only congratulation note on knerz's forge site is from me (Tony Gu). I paid 101 percent respect to all of you who contribute to the Chinese localizaiton work.
However, we still have long way to go to finish the localization work. Frankly speaking, the localization file mantained by knerz is only in an very initial state, I would like to further work on it.

Hopefully, you may vist my site from time to time. There is a section for English Speaker if you may not tpye in Chinese.

By the way, I'm a Chinese guy, currently live in Shanghai.

Very good posting from you. And you are quite right, there should be a push towards a Chinese version. Another interested party is tiansm AT lemote.com who is in Hangzhou.

If you Chinese could lead the way, I am sure you will find support from us "Lao Wei".

And by the way, your English is way better then my Chinese

My situation is that I have a small installation working here in Beijing. Busy to use products and partners in Chinese, German and English. All our Suppliers are entered in Chinese, while foreign customers are entered in English.

I have made some more fields in products translatable. This way native Chinese and non Chinese speakers can work with the same record.

Hello,

My company is performing a feasibility to see whether or not we can launch a new line of business based on fully localizing and supporting TinyERP in the Chinese market.

We have extensive Data Center capabilities in Hong Kong, with multiple redundant links to the World Internet. We also have a dedicated Fiber Optic link into the Chinese Internet.

Hosting dedicated servers (or virtualized servers) would not be a problem for us on a technical level, I have several technicians capable of supporting both Linux and Windows, but we do not have a pricing model yet.

If anyone is interested in us hosting their TinyERP implementation, please contact me so that we can begin to discuss the various Service Level Agreement (SLA) levels that you may want (7/24 support, 6/12 support, 5/9 support, etc) as well as what you might be prepared to pay for such hosting and support.

I can be reached at info *at* different-software *dot* com

Thank you,

Mister Li
