Hi all,

I'm new to OpenERP, and have installed 5.0 windows version.

I tried to print reports in Chinese, but I only got black blocks for where text are. I think it's a font problem, that the font used in RML file aren't Chinese capable. So I tried to manually modify the RML content and replace all font reference to Arial Unicode MS. But I got error message when try to print. Which folder should I place the .ttf file at?

I tried to follow the post down below, but I could not find all the .py file mentioned there. I only saw .pyo version of the mentioned files inside library.zip and they are not text file so I can't edit them.

Can anyone please guide me on how to print chinese in OpenERP 5 running under Windows?

Thanks!

in launchpad, u can find a module named base_report_unicode, it can support unicode, so u can just simply replace the en fonts by cn fonts in it and install....

For anyone trying to print CJK characters in openerp -- I've found that the standard installation of the base_report_unicode module includes dejavu fonts which don't yet support CJK characters.

I'm trying to go deeper into this, perhaps somebody with Chinese/Japanese/Korean experience on openERP can guide us?
