renatohi, I am evaluating OpenErp for using it as a backend of a ecommerce portal (prestashop). Since I will put prestashop and the backend application on a hosted virtual server, I would like, if possible, to use the same database, to minimize the memory footprint. Since Prestashop uses Mysql, I would like to find out whether mysql is officially supported by OpenErp too. Isaw an announcment from10:53
renatoSUN saying it is, but I found no mention of it at OpenErp official page. Is it officially supported?10:53
enlightxrenato: the mysql porting of openerp is not maintained anymore, afaik10:55

renatoenlightx: I saw there is a version of it alegedly working with sqlalchemy andhence with MYsql/Oracle, etc (but no installer) but I found no mention on the status of it: testing? abandoned brench?11:00
renatoI've got nothing against postgres. It is just that in the case of a hosted system, the memory footprint still matters and this means you will have to run a database just for OpenErp11:02
enlightxrenato: sqlalchemy port is abandoned too :-)11:03
