The partner portal is a service exclusively dedicated to OpenERP partners. Through this partner portal, you will have access to several services and information in order to help you develop your OpenERP business and organize your relationship with OpenERP SA.

You will find bi-weekly online training sessions to train your new employees, marketing documents and demands from prospects to boost your business, development tools, the migration plateform for OpenERP Enterprise, etc.

Here is a detailed list of services we provide to partners through this partner portal;

 

Boost your Sales

  • Leads Forward to Partners

    OpenERP organizes a lot of marketing operations to continuously attract new prospects. These prospects can come from different sources:

    • Website: download the software, download a book, contact form

    • Subscription to an event: open day, online webinars, etc.

    • Meeting during an exhibition

    • Direct phone calls to OpenERP

    Once we have identified a prospect (like someone who fills in a form on our website), if this prospect wants to use or test OpenERP, we forward this lead to a partner following different rules like the geo-localization of the prospect and the partner grade (a gold partner will receive more leads than a ready one). The assigned partner receives this lead automatically by email.

    Through the Sales > Leads > Your Leads menu, you can browse all leads we assigned to you. This list is often updated by your account manager at each periodic review of the business. This allows you to get a complete overview of all the leads OpenERP SA acquired for you. Also, if OpenERP SA is in direct contact with this prospect, we update the lead so that you are informed of everything we do so that you can benefit from our technical services and develop your leads.

    With each lead, you will receive all the information needed to contact the prospect (phone number, email, address, etc) as well as a small summary of the need of this prospect and his sector of activity. Through the "Communication & History" tab of a lead, you can have a look at all the communication we had with this lead before forwarding it to you.

  • Track your invoices

    Having in account that a partner's relationship with OpenERP is directly dependent on the revenue generated for OpenERP, it's important to have a clear view of your earnings from the past last months. This will help OpenERP further evaluate each partner's grade and it's essential that the partner is able to control and anticipate his results for the evaluation of his partner's grade.

    The Invoice analysis will support you in this matter and give you a panoramic view of your due amounts. In this way, you can plan better and work on your revenue forecast. As well, you will have an view on your refund and plan those amounts in your numbers.  We encourage you to constantly verify your balance individually in Sales > Invoices > Your invoices or directly the complete overview through Sales > Invoices > Invoice Analysis.

  • Added-Value Documents

    OpenERP has put together relevant documents to help you in your selling pitches, with your prospects and sales presentations. We have set up a long list of OpenERP references containing almost 350 names (and growing) of companies, organizations or association where we or our partners have implemted OpenERP. This list is a priceless source of information that our sales department is using in every sale pitch they make and we encourage you to do the same. 

    The references are categorized by country, industry, modules implemented, etc. We consider it's a must and therefore we are continuously adding new references that will emphasize OpenERP's expertise in the ERP world.  

    Also, we have put at your disposal success stories which explain in more detail the needs the companies had and how OpenERP was used to improve their situation, structure the company and manage resource. So that they could focus on their business and generate revenue. 

    Equally important, you may access top OpenERP presentations that you can use for your own presentations. You can use these presentations to get acquainted with OpenERP and as inspiration for your own presentations.

  • Plan your partner grade with the Business Plan

    The goal of the business plan is to position weather a company is suited to become Silver or Gold partner. We support future partners complete a business plan which will help OpenERP have an understanding on the company's objectives, how they see OpenERP's role in assisting them in reaching their objectives and targets.  

    It will also help the company synchronize itself with the account manager who will be in charge of the partner. It's important that the account manager is able to grasp what are the goals and actions anticipated by the future partner and how will OpenERP support them. 

    We have put at your disposal a template to help you with this task. The document has all necessary information and requirements from the side of the future partner. 

  • Demonstration

    Being able to do a good demonstration of the OpenERP product is key to succeed in your sales presentation. This section comprises demonstrations (screencasts) that will help you get acquianted and present OpenERP to your prospects. The demonstrations available cover the most used modules like HR, CRM, Project management, etc.

Build your Marketing: a must for Marketing and events activities with OpenERP

  • Events

    A great way to learn OpenERP and find new prospects is to participate to events and organize/host your own events. We have a marketing team which is dedicated to events organization with out partners.

    We organize different kind of events:

    • On Site: Open Days, Training Sessions

    • Online: Webinars, Online Trainings

    Through this section, you can get access to all events you can attend and you can also propose to organize an event with the collaboration of OpenERP. If you organize events, we are ready to promote your events (website, mailings, etc), manage subscriptions, etc.

  • Follow-up your Support Tickets

    Look no further, this is the place comprising the list with your OpenERP Publisher's Warranty Support/Maintenance tickets. Through the simple interface you can monitor the status of your support tickets, see their progress, type (eg, support or migration) and check their priority.

  • News Update

    Also present in this section are the community news. In this way, you will stay in touch with the news coming from our community and partners and see what the others are up to. All the news here is directly related to OpenERP and to the community's activity with OpenERP. You can start publishing your own news if you want to share with the rest your experience and activity with OpenERP. 

  • Developer Tools

    We have covered also the technical part. We put at your disposal Developer Tools:

    • The Builtbot is OpenERP's continuous integration server. Any new branch will be tracked automatically by the buildot, making it possible to the developers to easily see when their development doesn't pass our testsuite.

    • The Runbot is a tool similar to the buildbot and provides additional information for all branches. In particular, it provides automatically an OpenERP instance running the code of each branch so it is possible give the link to someone else for human testing. It also provides code coverage information.

    • Publish your modules. OpenERP Apps is one of the world's biggest repositories of enterprise management applications with more than 1.200 modules and growing. It comprises complete applications like CRM, Accounting and Project  Management as well as very specific applications like fleet management, e-Commerce integration, etc. OpenERP Apps also includes vertical applications related to specific sectors. It's here where you can contribute as well by publishing your own modules.

Through the simple interface you can monitor the status of your support tickets, see their progress, type (eg, support or migration) and check their priority.

  • Migration at a fixed price

    Migrations take time and involve lots of working hours and money. OpenERP has a dedicated team working on migrations, who has extensive in depth knowledge of OpenERP and masters the process. OpenERP is the only ERP that does migrations at a fixed price. So, we have comprised the migration in the price of the OpenERP Enterprise. From the portal you can start the process yourself and we take care of the rest. It is highly important that you are upgraded at every new version of OpenERP, as we release a new stable version every 18 months. You are provided with migration Follow-up so that you are able to check the status of possible issues.
